Christmas!!

OK so no pictures yet but they are coming. We had a really great day.. The kids had a hard time sleeping last night and it was so cute because Riley goes mom I love Brody so much can I sleep in his bed with him tonight. SO they ended up in bed together but hey it helped them go to sleep faster. I don't understand it either. This year I am ready to have over it has been a very busy one for us. We just got home on the 18th of December from our 3rd trip back to Arizona. This time it was for more bad news on December 7th Robert and I were out on our weekly date and doing some Christmas shopping when we got a phone call from his mother letting us know that Roberts father had passed away. So we went over to be there for her and to help with the funeral and with some things she needed done. I really hope next year is a lot less eventful.

So anyway last night we started our little Christmas celebration with talking about the birth of Jesus Christ and the story in Luke 2 then we gave the kids there Christmas jammies and got them all into them then piled everyone into the car including Uncle Ethan (who decided last minute to come back to Texas with us. It has been a lot of fun having him here.) to go around and look at the lights. The kids where so excited its been a lot of fun to see how much more excited Brody at just 2 gets then Riley at that age we were the ones trying to get her excited and this year she is the one getting everyone excited. She is growing up so fast. This morning Santa had come and dropped off toys for everyone. We had fun looking and playing with them and then we were going to have German pancakes that my friend Ranee even put the recipe on her blog for me but I got out numbered and so we ended up making cinnamon rolls and hot cocoa it was good ill just have to try the pancakes another day maybe new years.

I am very grateful for my family it is so fun to have children that help me remember how great it is to have that excited wonderful giving feeling.

1. I love cooking it makes me feel good to know that I can take something and make it into something nutritious and yummy that makes others feel good.



2. I absolutely HATE when my house is not clean. I hate when I fold laundry and then it never gets put away.



3.I love it when it rains hard with lots of lightening and thunder at night it helps me sleep.

Countdown till Christmas

Ok so I just looked at the calendar and there is count them only 25 days till Christmas!!! WOW how did the month of November fly by so fast? Today has been a little crazy. We had a doctors appointment for Hyde today it was his 4month check up. Yippee he is now 17lbs and 26 inch long other wise 90% height and 75% weight. Yep he is a big boy. But he is a wonderful baby. He had to have his normal shots and that didn't make him very happy but he still let me get some errands run. So after the Dr we all ran up to Big Lots to see what kind of things other then the princess clothes we went up there for where on sale for Christmas. Oh and I also needed wrapping paper. So after running around that store for about an hour I took the kids to get some lunch and to the park since we were all the way in Austin way to far to get home and make something before everyone would be eating there own legs off. Then it was time to head home so we could get the van cleaned out so that the Robert could take it to the scout overnight. And we made it just in time. Some weeks I feel like I never see my husband. But he is having a blast and learning a lot. Well so everyone in my house is finally asleep so I better get that way too. Night......

Online and talked to him for awhile but didn't think anything of it. Then was set up by a friend in my singles ward with one of his mission buddys who turned out to be Robert who was also the Robert online.
2. What was the first thing you said to your husband?
Hi!!! Honestly I can't remember that far back I guess I should remember huh?
3. Where was your first date?
Mesa, AZ Temple The Easter Pageant and then after I invited myself to go to the movies with him. That I paid for since earlier in the night I had paid him to go get a guys number for me.

5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
Well lets see we meet in March the very end of march and then got engaged April 16th and were married July 12th so whats that 3 months.

In his car in front of a little house out in the middle of nowhere with christmas lights still on in there front yard after going to dinner at Olive Garden and him giving me a dozen roses.
7. Where were you married? Mesa Arizona Temple
8. How did your reception go? It was really pretty had allot of friends and family help decorate.
9. Where was the Honeymoon? At a hotel in Tempe, Az just for the weekend we both had to work on Monday.

I would have loved to have gotten to be married in the Snowflake temple But it was perfect because I married the man I love.

16. Do you have a favorite temple? I have only been in two of them so I guess if I had to choose from one of them it would be the San Antonio temple but they are all so beautiful and offer so many blessings to everyone. But I think it would be neat to go to one out of the USA.

so yeah

So I finally decided to put my own post on here. I just wanted to make it known to one and all that I am a Boston Red Sox fan. As you might have known they did just win the World Series, of which I am extremely happy. I can't remember exactly how long I have been a Red Sox fan. I do know that, at one time, I did say that I liked the Chicago Cubs. I have repented of that. My wife would swear that I would bleed Red Sox colors.

Just to introduce myself, I am the dad of the Whitmer clan. My name is Robert and I am a manager at Reliable Life Insurance. The job is good and it pays well. There are, however, those times that I would rather not deal with some of the hassle that goes along with the job and the position. I guess that is why I get paid the proverbial "big bucks." I can say though that this is the first job/career that I have had that I actually look forward to going to work every day. I don't like leaving my family but it makes it better that I am going to a job that I don't despise.

My hobbies include playing with my kiddos, watching and playing baseball and basketball, limited ps2 time, and keeping up with my Red Sox. I cannot stand football. Don't even ask me to watch it. I know that is not the typical response that you hear from someone living in Texas but I am not a native Texan.

I guess that is all that I have for now. Look for more posts from me later as I get more into this blogging thing.

They turned out really cute. Riley's was in the shape of a spooky cat and Brody had his in the shape of a ghost..

So we ended up with a ton of candy at our house and now who is eatting it I am really good at only letting the kids have 2 a day but me if my fall back. Oh don't have time for a real breakfast but I am starving so grab some candy on your way out or to feed Hyde. I know I am really bad I need to stop hopefully Robert will take it far way or I can get brave and just put it away for later a little at a time.

Ok so halloween is done now its Thanksgiving and then way to fast before I know it it will be Christmas wow where does the time go???????

A hot bath with yummy smelling bubbles with a good book or just with a enya cd.( havent had one of these in along time) Shopping love that especailly when I find a great deal. Just playing with my kids really playing like getting outside and rolling in the grass or swinging on the swingset.

Saturday

Wow why does it seem like everything happens on Saturday whatever happened to the Saturdays when I was little where then NEVER seemed to end. Now they are gone in a blink of an eye.

So here is just alittle of what we did..................

First I got up and swept and was going to mop but little ones got up so went on to making breakfast for everyone.
Then showers and getting ready as that is always SO MUCH FUN:)
Then Robert had I dont know how many different places he could or should or had to be at all at one time what do they think he is some super human from Heroes hehehhee.
Even though he thinks he really is one.
I got a friends Husband aka Joe to stand in for Robert. He got to watch Riley and Brody for me so that Annie (his wife) and I could go to our SUPER SATURDAY!!! (wow this is really starting to sound like an episode of Heroes hehehe) So we went there and didnt get all the things we wanted out of that so headed to Hobbie Lobby to get more Crafty goodness and bring it home so we could pretend to act like we know what we are doing. And to relieve Joe and now Robert back from his many destinations, from the kiddos. Then we worked on our crafts. Then Joe and Annie left to go to dinner at there families home. And we decided to go to Gattitown so we loaded everyone up and took off....
Wow why are there School buses out on a saturday so we decided to just go to TGIFriday's Oh yummy. And we didnt have any food thrown on the floor double thumbs up...
Then we went to the NEW Super Target (hehe back to the super hero thing eheheh ok its all in my head I know anyway) And its so great to have one finally close we really missed having a real target here in Texas. Then we got home and got the kids ready for bed and wow where did the day go??
So now we are off to bed so that we can get up for church in the morning (wish us luck)...

I feel like I have failed again:(

Today has been a bad day. I feel like I never can get everything done that needs or that we want to get done. I mean today I got up before everyone eles was awake except for Robert as for about now I would guess 3 weeks sence he got the permotion to be manager he has been getting up and leaving for work before its even 7. So anyway today I get up and the baby is still sleeping and so are the other two so I head for the shower but then as I am getting in I hear GOODMORNING BUBBA, knowing that means Riley is up and any moment the baby how she is calling bubba is going to be woken up any second and as soon as his little eyes are open he is hungry and feed him know because its been oh 1 hr sence his last feeding so I have to turn the shower off and come back and feed Hyde and just as I am doing that Brody wakes up so now its going to be a hugh chore to get into the shower (as is why I havent seen one in 3days and really need one today as I have to go out in public) So I finsh feeding Hyde and get Riley and Brody watching t.v. and Run through the shower and getting out just in time as the baby that was happy on the bed is now haveing two big syblings jumping all around him ahhhhhhhhh. So I finally get dressed and now its time to get the kids dressed. And after telling Riley you cant wear jammies and a shirt for the 12th time and she finally understands and goes and gets a pair of shorts thank goodness. I get Hyde dressed but he is now getting hungry again. And now the hunt begans for Brody. I chase him up the stairs and down and in his room and finally catch him to have him kick me and say no mom. I get him dressed and now we are all hungry and its 9am we started at 7am. wow I really felt like going back to bed and saying I am done but couldnt I had Visiting Teaching at 10 so I get them somthing to eat and throw a nutrigrain bar at myself well I feed Hyde again as I am hoping if I do it now maybe he will be good and not need to eat during the visit. Then we get them in the car and its another fit to get Brody to get into his seat and not to just buckle it and unbuckle it as he loves to do that. And it seems like when I really need Riley to just jump in and buckle her seat belt she becomes all thumbs and refuses to buckle it. SIGH so we are in the car and I feel like what am I doing. I must be crazy. We go to the ladies home and it was beautiful and she was so nice but by the time we left it was a mess my kids were left out and were not happy the entire time 1 1/2 hours we were there ( oh my gosh I really need to get a watch). So I tried my hardest to get her house put back together and left with telling her all the way out I am so sorry sorry sorry. And loaded them back into the car and with courage went to Sam's club to get milk for the week. Oh was that a bad idea first we get there and the baby is hungry. so we have to sit in the car and feed him for 20mins. Then Riley doesnt want to sit in the cart and so then in turn Brody doesnt want to sit in the cart finally I get everyone in the cart. I'll I need is Milk but we have to stop every 5 mins to taste something eles and everyone says oh yes mom I will eat it but they never do so who eats it me ( this again doesnt help with my exercize program and waistline:).) So we finally got the milk and then had to wait in line to check out always so exciting. Then we get home and its lunch time and time to get ready to go down for naps. Oh what did I do wrong I just feel like I can never get it done as all Ive gotten for food this week is milk and still have to battle the crazy at Walmart. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! And on top of that I am feeling that I am not doing my job in the ward and that I am not doing the everyday little things that the prophet has asked us to do like personal and family and couple prayers and FHE and reading my scriptures daily. Wow just were is the time how do people do it all? Why can't I figure it out? What am I doing wrong? Anyway the kids are up now so I get to try all over again and go to Walmart yeppie.

hehe I think I am addicted

Crazy Life

Ok so the last about week has been crazy. First ok I was wrong its been more like the last 1 month. Because it started with the car accident and trip to arizona and then coming home and having to get a rental car for Robert and then figuring it all the money crap out with the insurance company.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! And to top it all off when we had finished with all that and had talked to Dustin about what car we were going to get we had to find someone to drive it over to us. Which ended up being Roberts parents which would have been fine if they would have just brought it and then dropped it off but they had to make it into this big hugh ordeal. With doing things there way and not listening to us who the week before had just done the exsact same drive with 3 kids. So to make a long story short we don't have our second car yet and now Robert is using my van to go to work until Dustin can bring the car over. As we didnt know until 6 Thursday night that there was a problem with the car. And then after yelling and lots of words back and forth Roberts parents ended up driving back to Arizona. Which made my life alot easier in one way this last week. AHHHHH ok enough ranting better get my mind off of it. Thanks for listening.

GREATFUL!!!

I am grateful for life! It seems to me that life comes in waves. Not always crazy or bad. But it does seem to be busier and then slow down at times. I feel like the last 2 months (which when I was younger seemed like took forever) and now I don't know where all the time went. So when I woke up this morning I just felt like I needed to tell my kids and family that I was grateful for everything that they have done for me.

I am grateful for life as the more and more I think about the last two months it seems we have been on both ends of the spectrum. As our newest little guy was born on July 16Th and so adorable and brings such a wonderful spirit into our home sometimes when I feel like its been a crazy day I just love being the mom and getting to curl up on the couch with my baby and get the pleasure of being the one that feeds him and makes him be comfortable and safe that he just goes to sleep and makes that oh I'm happy an content noise. the hum hum little thing its such a awesome sound.
(wow sorry i don't think in sentences:)

And then again my wonderful husband about 2 weeks ago with a friend at work was in a car accident. And now that we or I are getting all the police reports and talking to witnesses and insurance companies and looking more closely at the actual car we are feeling more and more blessed that they were not more injured. As they both walked out of it and didn't have more then just cuts and bruises. I am very grateful for my Heavenly Father and for prayers. As I believe that they were definitely been watched over then.

I am also very grateful for my family back at home in Arizona as we just got home a week ago from getting to go see them. Its always a mixed batch of emotions when you go see your family. At least it is for me I always hope to be able to talk about whatever and be a quote normal family ( if there is such a thing). But we got to see people that we love and adore. We got to be with my brother who just got home from his mission. And then we also got to be with my parents and that is always great for me as my kids just love them so much that I tend to disappear. I know it makes them really grateful when we leave but I know that they wouldn't change not being with us for it. Then we got to spend some time with our best buddies from Queen Creek Pete and Ranee. Awesome People. They have such big hearts and then love us for just who we are. I mean anyone that let me come over and just hang out at there house in my jamies is someone I miss living 3 doors down from. ( Miss you ranee you really need to move to Texas heehaw)
Then Robert was able to because well we were in Arizona we were able to have all our friends and family there to bless Hyde. So two families that Robert on his mission to California helped baptize were able to come over and be there for the blessing. It was a great Sunday we had so many great testimony growing experiences that day. And so many people that we are blessed to love and who love us where there.

I am also grateful for my Brody and Riley as they constantly remind me to be patient and that things don't always have to be done the right way or they way I think is right as long as they get done and everyone is happy i am learning that is the right way. They also every morning the wake me up sometimes way to early but its always bring a smile to my face to her mom mom wake up. Plus its great to be reminded that even though you just gave them there food that your 2 yr old has to pray first and its making sure everyone is ready to pray right then so he can eat. Saying at the top of his lungs PRAYER!!!!

Well I just want to let all of my family that they are very important to me and that we love you all. Hope you have a wonderful day.

MY FIRST BLOG!!!

OK so here it goes. I've never done this before but it seems like a great way of getting my frustrations and excitement and my generology all down and out there for whoever and mostly my kids and family to see when they need it. And also when my kids are older and go mom when I was (insert age) what was our life like and so on. So just to worn you I like to ramble and so like it or lump it.

WOW so time goes by so fast. It was like yesterday that Robert and I got married and were living in a small and I mean tiny apartment. With no kids and now after 5 years of marriage we 2months ago had our 3rd precious baby. And for me that is really hard for me to say not to say I dont love and adore my children but I think I am alittle messed up that when my babies first come into my life I don't feel all the emotions like most mothers or what most mothers are supposed to feel after having a baby. But each baby is so different and so unique and speical and bring something so great into your life.

So whateles, oh well I guess I should tell you about us. I mean if its going to be call the whitmer clan then heck you should know who that is.

Well there is Robert the orignal Whitmer he is my hunky husband who is 26 and is a great man.
He is a Red Socks fan to the death. And love to play,watch, eat and sleep baseball. He also loves to watch and play basketball. He is a great dad and loves his kids so much. Like the other day he was in a car accident and he was in the er and I has seen him and he was doing fine but was waiting for the drs to clear him and he knew that I had taken the kids to the dr earlier that day for well check ups and he calls me back into the room just to ask how Hyde did at his check up. I was like he is wonderful and your crazy your straped to a backboard and you or thinking about how much your son weighs. He is so cute... I love him..

Then there is me Julia I am 24 wow I am so old hehehe. I am the mom or the 3 kiddos. I love to play with my kids and right now its playing duck duck goose with Brody and Riley. I also love to go shopping for anything mostly clothes and shoes. whateles after all I am a girl. I also love to hang out with great friends. Work on my scrapbook but havent really gotten it out sence Riley was born I know bad me she is 4 I should be doing better. I like to say I like to do photography but I am not really good at it. I guess I should say that I just like to look at great pictures of my kids and just great photos of anything. And wish that I could to that. I love to back yummy fattening goodies.

Riley she is 4 and thinks she needs to get married yesterday. She is so grown up that its scary. I look at her and think wow she is wonderful and just full of life. She is such a great happy friendly loveing person. She loves animals and coloring and playdough being outside and playing games like candy land and shoots and ladders. She also loves when I do her nails such a girly girl. yet when she is playing with the boys she can hold her own.

Brody he is 2 and full of life and everywhere. Some days I think he is going to drive me crazy and then he will come up to me and give me the best hug and kiss or just say "hi mom" ans smile and it just makes it all go away. He loves his Cars and Lightening McQueen. He also loves doing puzzels and playing outside.

Hyde he is 2 months old and is such a sweet baby waits for mom to get a free hand and then smiles and just says I love you with his eyes as he looks at you like he is looking right at your soul. Right now he loves to eat and sleep and mess his pants. hhehehe just wait soon he will be all over the place with his brother and sister.

We are so glad to have these great, wonderful sprits in our home and to learn and grow with them.

Well I hope that is what I was supposed to do. I guess I should say good bye as my battery is dyeing and everyone in my house is asleep and I am not not a good thing.
