So today was Riley's First day of Kindergarten and it was whirlwind of a day.
It started well I might have to go back to last night to get the whole feeling really.
So we get dinner done and father's blessing check so off to bed is next right? So we put Brody and Hyde and Riley all tucked nicely into bed and think oh great I might get to bed early but oh no they had other plans. Brody woke up about 20Min's and had a fever and a nasty runny nose so we give him some medicine and off to bed he goes but not with out waking up Hyde so then he is up NOW all ready to play so he stays up and we try to tire him out and around 9 we think he is ready to go back down so we put him back into bed and go to bed ourselves... Then just as I am getting to sleep Hyde starts to cry and now he has a runny nose and is pulling at his ear and wont let me put him down so I take him into bed with me and that begins one of the LONGEST NIGHTS IN MY LIFE........ We toss and turn and toss some more until the alarm goes off...
6 am up and time to get everyone ready...
We all get dress and the fatigue had nothing on the EXCITEMENT of the day.
Breakfast was another thing no one could eat except for Hyde as he is always game for this activity and it was just way to early for Brody. We I tried to get something down Riley but was only able to get 6 bites in her and I was just very grateful that her lunch is at 10:45.
Then we took pictures and piled everyone into the car thinking we were early leaving at 7:15 when school starts at 7:40. But we where wrong everyone and there dogs and three monkeys where there to drop off there kiddos. So we finally got her into her class and there where parents crying and not wanting to leave until the last second. (and to be honest I would have loved to stay all day not because Riley needed me to be there but I missed her.) But she walked in there like she owned the place walked right up to Ms. Grant and said good morning and then was told to put her things in her cubby and I asked her do you remember where it is she goes of course mom like what are you even thinking about thinking I wouldn't. SORRY. And then it was back to her seat and I helped her put her name tag on and she goes see yeah mom! And that was it. Wow I am do glad she is such a great example to me. She pulls me out of my comfort zone and makes me grow everyday. I am so blessed to get to be her mommy.
So the day went pretty normal playing with the boys and Brody asking the first half of the day where Riley was and then just being happy to point out all of Riley's favorite things like as we were driving today and he goes mommy, mommy, mommy, MOMMY that is Riley's favorite turn it up she dance like this.
My favorite part of the day was after we picked her up and had gotten home I was in the kitchen making dinner and Riley came in and said mom thanks for letting me go to school I am going everyday its so much fun. And then proceeded to tell me everything and I just ate it up, loving every minute.
I am so ready for bed. But know that from now on it is going to be nonstop.

Happy Birthday Robert!!
Today is Robert's 27Th Birthday..............
I am so glad he was born he wasn't around much today so we are going to celebrate this special day on Saturday with fun fun and a BBQ with friends and more fun....
So here is goes 27 things I love about Robert....
- I love his voice... He doesn't like his voice but it is one of the first thing I loved about him.
- His eyes . The color is just SOOOOO blue
- His eye lashes, I mean seriously it is not far that a man got them they are so long and thick. I guess I am very luck that so far all my kids have gotten them so no mascara for Riley.
- He loves me...... and I mean he has never once complained about me and my attitude or the way my body has evolved after 3 kids and some other obstacles.
- He loves to shop just as much as I do it is so great to be able to go to a store and he goes through the clearance racks just as fast and looking for the best deals as I do.
- How everyday he tries to make me smile or laugh
- He will clean the bathroom or whatever when I just don't want to.
- After a long day he will always help me finish up what I am doing like, folding the laundry, making dinner, doing the dishes, get up with sick or scared kids, run to the store in the middle of the night to get medicine, anything
- Robert is a great daddy, even when he thinks he isn't. No one is perfect!
- He can never lie. I mean seriously he can't he is terrible at it.
- He is a worthy priesthood holder
- His way of singing
- The way he dances
- The way he came home last summer when I was ready to pop pregnant and had the AC down to 66 and he had to put sweater on, he never said a word.
- The way he looks at me
- The way he can pull me out of my shell.
- The way he works everyday so that I can live my dream of being a stay at home mom.
- The way that he supports me with my goals
- The way he jokes with me
- His Generosity
- I love the way he brings me flowers home on the days that feel like they are never going to end.
- The way when we first got married and where on different work schedules and he would get tired of never seeing each other so he would sometimes call in sick for the day so we could spend it together.
- The way he so proudly displays pictures of us all on his desk at work
- The way he loves or at least tries everything I make at least once
- I love his smile
- I am grateful for his wonderful testimony
- I love the Big Hugs he gives me before he leaves in the morning and again when he gets home at night.
P.S. He is also one great kisser, I am so glad you where born. I love you.
Love,
Julia

It happened in the car
Last night we needed milk and Robert's car is in the shop again long story. So he came home and after dinner took Brody with him for this trip..
When he came home he told me what had happened.
Robert-''hey Brody?''
Brody- ''who's Brody?''
Robert- "you are!"
Brody- " no I am not, me Jim."
Robert- " OK Jim."
Brody- " yes dad."
So when he got home Robert told me to call him Jim so I go. " Hey Jim, you ready for bed?'' and Brody goes "mom who is Jim, me Brody.

FAMILY
F A M I L Y
I ran into a stranger as he passed by, 'Oh excuse me please' was my reply.
He said, 'Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you.' We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told, How we treat our loved ones, young and old. Later that day, cooking the evening meal, My son stood beside me very still. When I turned, I nearly knocked him down. 'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown. He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, 'While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use, but the family you love, you seem to abuse. Go and look on the kitchen floor, You'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers he brought for you. He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue. He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise, you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.' By this time, I felt very small, And now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by his bed; 'Wake up, little one, wake up,' I said. 'Are these the flowers you picked for me?' He smiled, 'I found 'em, out by the tree. I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd lik e 'em, especially the blue.' I said, 'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.' He said, 'Oh, Mom, that's okay. I love you anyway.' I said, 'Son, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.'
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family, an unwise investment indeed, don't you think? So what is behind the story? Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

Recipe
So I know its been forever since my last blog I am sorry but life has happened and it needed me to participate not just sit on the side lines.
So my last post was about bread and a lot of people have asked for my recipe. And so today with not much else to write about I figured I would type my recipe to share.
Whole Wheat Bread........... Sorta..
In a small bowl mix 1/2 cup warm water
2 Tbsp. yeast
1 Tbsp brown sugar or honey I use honey
mix together so to get your yeast going
In a big mixer..
1/2 cup brown sugar or honey
1/4 cup apple juice concentrate
2 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups warm water
6 Tbl. oil
5 cups flour ( now with my experience using only whole wheat flour my bread comes out hard if I dont have 3 hours to kneed it. So I use about 1 to 2 cups of white flour just to lighten it up.)
You may need more or less flour depending on your area. ( the last time I made this it was humid so I needed more like 8 cups flour but in the end it made 4 loafs.)
mix until sponge and soft in bowl then on floured counter or board kneed for at least 20mins.
I also added some flax seed mill about 1/2 cup here to my bread.
Then place into a oiled bowl. I just spray a big metal mixing bowl and then put in there and then spray my dough so as it rises it doesn't dry out. Then cover with a towel and let rise for 1hour or until doubled in size.
Then punch down and let rise again for 30mins. Then cut into loafs and ( I always just before I put mine in the pans hit the flat tops to get any extra air pockets out). Cover with towel and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
Bake in a 350 oven on the middle rack for about 30 mins or until done.
As soon as they come out of the oven take them out of the pans and spray with cooking spray this keeps the crust from getting to hard and as soon as they are cool place in a zip lock bag.
**Tip also if you want your bread to stay fresh a little longer I will mix into the dough about 1 tbls full of baking soda.
Good luck and enjoy.
