Kids being kids

So not a lot of things have been going on lately. But wanted to update everyone on the kiddos.

Riley has been full of it lately. Just yesterday we were driving to church and went past the kids school and she just started talking. She was telling us that she was so happy to live in Texas as you are free here. And the people long ago came across the ocean to New York and then came to Texas to be free.
Then she said did you know mom that when Grandma and Grandpa went to school it was in a one room house. I go really? Then she said yeah and you know what else they had these special kind of writing tools called quills and they had to dip them into the ink. Really where does she come up with these things.
She also has become a reading machine. Her school had a book fair last week and so I took her on Friday and she got to pick out a book for each of her brothers and then she got to pick out a a couple of books for herself and she picked out a 3 pack of Junie B Jones books. She came home that night and started the first book and finished it Sunday night after a few forced breaks.

Brody wow has he grown up so fast just in the last two weeks. When he started going to school he would come home with one to 3 time outs in a three hour day. But then after a really bad day something Robert told him must have really clicked. =) So now after 9 straight days of awesome days he is like a changed little boy. He can be so kind and gentle. Like today he gets into the car with after we picked him up at school and Hyde is being Hyde having a hard time being two not wanting to get into the car and Brody goes its ok Hyde I'll sit by you and you can have my sticker which is a hugh thing as this is what he gets if he has no time outs. He is so into spider man and it is so funny to see him jumping along the floor or shooting out his spider webs and having to refuel his webbing by drinking gatorade.

Hyde is getting so big so fast. It is so hard to believe that he is just barely two years old. He talks all the time and is trying to be so independent. He wants to do everything on his own. When he is told to put something away and he doesn't want to he will give it a big hug and look at you with his big ol eyes and say but I Love it!
He is so great to watch playing by himself when Brody is at school he will get out the train tracks and we will build them together and he will then just play on them for a good 30 - 40 mins. He also is learning all the primary songs. And it is so funny when he just walks out and is singing 1 little monkey in the tree snap out of the tree 3 monkeys in the tree no more monkeys in the tree. No catch me No catch me. I think our next big step is going to be trying to get him potty trained. Wish me luck.

So that is what we are doing these days what are you guys up to???

Just because....

A friend of mine was over here about a month ago and was nice enough to bring over some fabric she wasn't going to use. So the other day I was going through it all and found this great green poka dot. I just had to put it on my floor and wall and take some pictures of my kids. I was going to do them outside but the weather here has been crazy!!! But hopefully we will be able to get out there sooner then later and get some good shots of them all.

Dear Hyde,
I am so glad that you are part of our family. You make our days brighter. You always have a smile on your face. Or as we call it the pirate eye. You are so cute(but then again I am your mother). You give some of the best kisses and just learned how to clap. You dance whenever there is music. Today when you have heard people sing to you Happy Birthday, you stop where you are and bop up and down it is to funny. You learned to walk young and now are trying to keep up with your big brother and sister so you have started to RUN. I love you so much. Thanks for bringing smiles to our day and love to our hearts.
Love,
Mom

The broken Buddy Bone......

So after dinner we all were in the family room playing and Riley said ok dad its time for your check up. And during his check up we all found out that he had a very VERY serious BROKEN BUDDY BONE!! And that we NEEDED to call his boss and tell him he couldn't move for 10 whole days. Then all three kids got into the dress up and got out there bandages or there scarfs and blankets to wrap daddy up to make him better. Hyde mostly suppervised as you can see. After all the watching and wraping and kisses and when bed time rolled around a miracle happened Riley said Daddy your buddy bone is all better. I told you I was a good Doctor. And Brody echoed yeah dad I a good doctor.

Memorial Day Fun!

Ok sorry no pictures I totally forgot my camera.....But wanted to remember what happened today..

So our day started out at 5:30 for Robert as he had to get up and be at Texas Old Town by 6am. So he was off. I got up at 6:15 and got showered and ready and the got the kids up and awake and dressed and then we waited for Roberts mom to come so she could follow us to the annual scouts pancake breakfast Yummy. So we got to the breakfast which was oh so yummy and I didn't have to make it even better. And we the place is beautiful. They had just built this new hall and the grounds around it were wonderful. So we ate and then the scouts did a flag ceremony and then we went tagpoleing yes I know that isn't a word but were in Texas and we were catching tadpoles. So we kicked off our shoes and waded into the water Riley, Brody and I Robert and Hyde where chicken I think Hyde would have come in if I would have let him. hehehe But we did catch two. Two I tell you they were so cute. I put them into two cups and Brody took one home and Riley took one home and then we walked them next store to our lovely neighbor Rhonda thank you thank you so we knocked on her door and asked if we could please put them into her pond in her backyard and she was so excited and just such a great sport. She told the kids that they could come back in a week to check on them and that when they get bigger they will hear the frogs and they even got to feed her fish. AND she had gotten them bubbles at the store earlier this week. She is so nice. Thank you Rhonda. So that is what we have done with our day so far and we are so grateful that we have this country to live in where men and women fight for us so we can go out and eat pancakes and catch tadpoles. What are you doing on this wonderful day?

What??

OK so last night and this morning has been full of excitement....( Disclaimer...if you have a sensitive stomach don't read farther. )

First last night we got an email from hubbies mother who doesn't have long distance on her phone so she does this when she needs to talk to us. So Hubby calls her and she has some interesting news. She is getting married. Yes folks it has only been 5 months since her husband past. But she says she is ready. All hubby can say is WHAT???????

Then this morning little man Brody woke us all up to the lovely sounds of barfing.. What?? Why are we doing this? I am so sorry little man he keeps saying I'm sooo sick, I too sick.... So with that comes the early morning bath and the washing of the puke out of the hair and then the cleaning of the said tub. Then the cleaning and scrubbing of the sheets and all things bedding. And then the cleaning and more cleaning.

Then Bubba or Hyde decided while I am in the bathroom with Brody to pull the picture above his crib down on top of him. What how did this happen is he really that tall I really thought I had put it higher. I mean it survived his older brother. So now he is crawling around with a lovely black eye. Wow it is only 10 and I am already so tired.

So WHAT has been going on in your house lately??

Slacker! Random

OK so I am a slacker... I haven't posted anything since Monday... You may ask Why not Julia? Hum my answer would be because I did NOTHING interesting... And I mean nothing.
In the past couple of days I've done 8 loads of Laundry and strange thing I think I still have more how is that?I've been to the Gym everyday Yippie for me getting off my butt. And then made a trip to Ikea OK that was a little exciting because I got to go shopping with only one child out of three and no no I didn't leave them in the car or at the house I took them with me. But you see Brody is finally totally potty trained so he and Riley get to go play in the play house at Ikea Yippee so more bored kiddos while mommy shops.

Oh we did get invite to a friends home tomorrow afternoon to watch the Red Sox, Yankees game Oh boy wish me luck as the husbands are fans of opposite teams. Fingers crossed it doesn't end in blood or hating each other forever. OK so I need help for fun ideas for little ones? That we can keep them busy while we watch the game ages from I think 7 yrs to 8m.. and everything in the middle. So any help I would be very thankful for.

Also while checking out blogs I found this post it is really great you have to check it out athttp://thegabblog.blogspot.com/.

OK so there is my boring and random blog sorry if you are totally confused. I am known in my family and close friends as Captain Random.. Welcome to my world hehehehehe

NO EASTER

OK SO we had no Easter here at our house... :( very sad I know but this is how the story goes.......... It all begins on Friday..

It all started out great we were going on our ward camp out.. Everyone was finally feeling better Yippee!!!!!!! So we all got up that morning and Robert had to go into the office just for a few things he was going to be home around 11 am.. So I am getting things ready and everything is great. We gave Hyde his last dose of antibiotic (this is very important remember this later) And we hit the road. Camp is only about 1hr away from our home..

We get there and we are having a great time.... We make a yummy dinner of pizza on the grill if you haven't done this you have got to try it yummy.... and go to the river and play in the water and then got to a wonderful fireside given by the Bishop..... Then Night falls and this is where the Fun begins...... We get the two older kids into bed around 9pm and then stay up playing Mafia.. fun... Then around 10:30 we head for bed.. it is now getting really cold and we are so unprepared.... And the never ending night begins..... Hyde never never Never slept.. he was awake for most of the night. Screaming and crying and just cold and never happy. I felt terrible for the tents full of families next to us... Sorry... So when it was 5am yes you saw that right 5 am he finally crashed.... We were so happy so we got about 45Min's of sleep before the high priests where up and making breakfast... And as I sat up with the sleeping Hyde next to be I look down and he is covered,Covered.

Head to toe with spots. At the time we didn't know they were hives but that was scary... So we got a blessing by now he was not breathing right. And some how all of our stuff was taken down and put into our car before we all could make it to the bathroom... And we were off to the Dr's thanks goodness for pediatricians that have Saturday Hours! We get there and find out that he is Allergic to the Rx he had been taking.... So now you can see why we had no Easter I was holding baby and we were all sleeping and I wasn't organised to get stuff before Saturday so didn't have anything but the clothes but then not everyone went to church so I promise next Sunday when we all get dolled up we will take pictures and I'll post them here.

Update on Hyde he was twice his size on Sunday and Monday (sorry no Monday update will do that next) but is slowly getting unswollen and returning back to normal... Thank you Benadryl
